UTS Design Students at 3S Lighting

UTS Design Students at 3S Lighting
Mike Day, Lecturer, School of Design at University of Technology Sydney and four postgraduate students from Lighting and Industrial Design courses visited 3S Lighting Factory today.

It was our pleasure to take this student's group for factory tour, covering all in-house manufacturing processes and departments.
Our visitors showed great interest in manufacturing techniques with many questions ranging from surface pre-treatment in our spray department, capabilities in our engineering with various automated processes on display, to final luminaire product assembly and testing.

After the tour of the factory, we demonstrated various colour quality and intelligent aspects of latest LED technologies on prepared presentation, following up with session with two of our luminaire designers to debate student's current projects.
We hope to see next class of UTS students back at 3S Lighting soon.
